Important Update: For Users Streaming Multiple Teams to One Facebook Profile or Page
After three users reached out, and following some internal testing and research, we’ve identified an issue that only impacts users who stream multiple teams to the same Facebook profile or page.
What’s Happening:
Facebook recently introduced a silent change that limits:
- Profiles to one active stream at a time.
- Pages to one active stream per page.
If you attempt to stream multiple games or teams simultaneously to the same Facebook profile or page, only the first stream will go live. Additional streams will appear as though they are live but will not actually start until the previous stream ends.
Why This Matters:
Over the past year, Facebook has made several changes to livestreaming—many without any public announcement—causing frustration for users. These restrictions are part of Facebook’s ongoing adjustments, which make streaming directly to their platform increasingly difficult.
What You Should Do:
If you are affected by this change, we recommend the following solution:
- Turn on “Post to YouTube Only” in sidelineHD:
- Go to Settings > Stream Settings > Stream Publishing.
- Select “Stream to YouTube Only”.
- This option will share multiple YouTube links as separate posts to your Facebook Page. This allows fans to access the correct YouTube stream for each game.
