This article will walk you through how to use sidelineSCORE for Baseball and Softball.

You can easily add batters during the game but we also suggest setting your line up ahead of time! Visit our Create a Game article for more information on setting your line up!
Scoring a Baseball or Softball Game:
- Login to your sidelineHD account on the app
- Click on the Team Card of the team that you are going to score for
- On the Schedules tab of the team page, select the Game Card for the game you are scoring
- If you have not created the game yet or set a lineup, you can do so now by creating a game
- Select Start Scoring

Select if you are the Home or Away team
- If you select Away, and have not set a lineup, you will be asked to select who's batting. Select the player and then select Choose batter
- If you select Home, you will be asked to select who's pitching. Select the player and then select Choose pitcher
- Increase pitch count during the at bat as they occur on the field
- Select the + next to Balls or Strikes as the count increases
- You can use the - to decrease the count if need be
- Selecting Foul will automatically add a strike
- 4 balls will automatically put a runner on 1st and move forward to the next batter
- 3 strikes will automatically increase the outs

Steal Base vs Runner Out
- Steal Base will appear when you are the team batting
- Runner Out will appear when you are the team in the field. Use the option if the runner is caught stealing or picked off.
- When the at-bat is complete, select Next Batter
- You will be asked What happened to the last batter? Select the option for what occurred
- The options in green will automatically increase the baserunners (Triple, Double, Single, Homerun, Walk, Hit by Pitch, Reach on Error, Other)
- The options in yellow will automatically increase the number of outs (Strikeout, Out, Fielder's Choice, Sac Bunt, Sac Fly, Double Play, Triple Play)

When it is your team in the field, on all options (except for Strikeout) you will be asked to tag the player(s) who assisted in the play.
- Using the drop down option, select player(s)
- Select Tag Players
- If you do not know which player made the play, you do not have to tag a player; select the skip button. This still generates a clip for that play.

When it is your team in the field, on all options (except for Strikeout) you will be asked to tag the player(s) who assisted in the play.
- If your team is batting and you did not set a line up ahead of time, you'll be asked to choose the current batter again. Select the player and then select Choose batter
- The half inning will automatically turn once 3 outs are scored.
- Once the game ends, select Exit Scoring
- Select End Game.
- If the game has not ended, select Pause Scoring
- Ending the game is final and cannot be undone.
