Any camera that supports RTMP streaming can be used with sidelineHD, even if it’s not listed among the preset camera options. To set it up, add any of the four available camera presets, then open Advanced Settings (via the three dots) to view your sidelineHD Stream URL and Stream Key.
Streaming with an Unlisted Camera:
- Login to your sidelineHD account
- Select your Team Card
- At the top right of your team page, select Settings
- Select Stream Settings
- Select Camera Settings
- Select the Three Dots to the right of your camera
- If you do not already have a camera enabled here select one of the four presets to select your camera. When using an unlisted camera the type of camera selected does not matter.
- Select Advanced Settings
- Copy the Stream URL and Stream Key using the double square icon to the right
- Past the Stream URL and Stream Key where needed in your camera's app
Stream Key and URL
Some third party streaming apps may require the Stream URL and the Stream Key to be combined into one line by using a / in between the Stream URL and the Stream Key.
EXAMPLE:
Stream URL: rtmps://e02.sidelinehd.com:443/shd03
Stream Key: s03-wwww-xxxx-yyyy-zzzz
Combined: rtmps://e02.sidelinehd.com:443/shd03/s03-wwww-xxxx-yyyy-zzzz
SLHD TIP (RTMP vs RTMPS):
This is an RTMPS key. Some platforms do better with RTMP (unencrypted stream) instead of RTMPS. To convert to RTMP URL, make these manual edits to the Stream URL:
- Replace rtmps:// with rtmp://
- Replace :443 with :1935
