Streaming with sidelineHD App

With the sidelineHD iOS and Android app you can livestream for FREE from any mobile phone or tablet. In this article, we walk you through starting your livestream using the sidelineHD App.

What You Will Need

Going Live with sidelineHD App

  1. Login to your sidelineHD Account
  2. Select your Team Card
  3. Select the Game Card
    • If you don't have a game created already, make sure to create a game
  4. Select the Go Live button
  5. Select the SidelineHD App
  6. Select Confirm
    • This will open the camera part of the app
  7. Press the Record Button (white circle) to start the stream
    • Do not swipe out of this screen while you are streaming, or the stream will stop
    • You can change your stream resolution if you'd like. Please keep in mind, this will temporarily take your stream down, but it will go right back up without you needing to press another button.
      1. Select the down carrot next to your timer
      2. Select the desired resolution
  8. When the game is over, press the Record Button (white square) again to stop the stream

You will need a second device to score the game. One device to stream the game, and one device to score the game

SLHD TIP

iScore users, you will have a go live on button on your schedule page. You do not tap into a game card in order to see the Go Live button

Why don't I see overlays on the sidelineHD App camera app screen?

Overlays and scoreboards are on your actual livestream on sidelineLIVE, Facebook or YouTube, you will not see overlays or the scoreboard on the sidelineHD App camera screen recording the game

SLHD TIP

The MUTE button on this camera screen blocks ALL audio. (This button differs from MUTE controls in sidelineSCORE, which silence Facebook and YouTube broadcasts but preserve audio in highlights.)

To keep your stream from being interrupted, we recommend putting your phone in "Do Not Disturb Mode" to silence all notifications and turning off any alarms you may have set.
