Player Privacy Settings

The privacy settings described in this article are only available for claimed players. If a player has not been claimed, their clip privacy settings are controlled by the team privacy settings. Once claimed, a player's privacy settings override the team privacy settings for that player. Learn more about Claiming your Player.

Player Settings:

Player Managers can choose what information to have displayed on the player profile and player card. This can be done when claiming the player or anytime afterward by editing the player and making changes

• Player Names. Set if / how player names are displayed in the livestream and public team pages
• Player Photos: Set if player profile photos are displayed in the livestream and public team pages
• Clip Privacy settings: Choose if you want your players clips to be viewable to the public or private and only visible to the player managers for your player. You can also hide specific clips from the public view. 

• You can choose to enter things like Primary or Secondary positions, Grad Year, Height, Weight, GPA, College Commitment, Favorite Sports Teams, Favorite Sports Hero, etc. 
   

  I updated my player's name, but it is still showing incorrectly on the team page.

  It takes up to 24 hours for player name changes made on the player page to be updated on the team roster page. If it has been more than 24 hours, you can submit a ticket to our customer care team
   

Player Clip Privacy Settings:

When making players' clips private, you have several options: 

• Public Visibility: Choose whether your player's clips are publicly viewable
• Hiding Specific Clips: Choose to hide individual clips

Clip Public Visibility

1. Log in to your sidelineHD account
2. From the home screen, select Edit next to your player's name
3. Select Settings tab
4. Scroll down to Show game settings to public
5. From the dropdown, select either Yes or No
6. Select Save
   • For sports no longer in beta, a sidelinePRO subscription is required to adjust these settings.

Hiding Specific Clips

Player Managers, when logged in, can hide individual video clips on their player's page so that they are no longer visible to the public.

1. Log in to your sidelineHD account
2. Select your player's Player Card
3. Locate the clip you want to hide from their public profile
4. Select the ... in the bottom left corner of the clip
5. Select Hide clip from Player's Profile
   • Hidden clips will still be visible to the player managers of the player, but are not visible to the public.
