Starting Lineups- Advanced Scoring BETA

In this article, we will go over enter your starting lineup and your opponent's starting lineup and editing the lineup before starting a game

 

 


Setting Your Team's Starting Lineup- Advanced Scoring

 

  1. Login to your sidelineHD account 
  2. Select your Team Card
  3. On the Schedules tab of the team page, select the Game Card for the game you are entering the lineup for, this brings you into the game page.
  4. Select the Manage Tab
  5. Select Set lineup
  6. Under My Lineup tab 
  7. Choose either 
    • Use previous game lineup if available or 
    • Choose the players in the lineup in the order they are batting
      1. Select The Circle next to the player's name to add them to the lineup
        • As you select each circle, a number will appear next to the player. This number indicates their batting order number.
      2. If you need to add new players
        1. Select + Add Player to Roster
        2. Add the player's information (First Name, Last Name, Jersey Number) and select Confirm
        3. Once the player is created, select The Circle next to the player's name to add them to the lineup.
  8. After selecting all your players, select Next
  9. Using the dots on the left side of the player card, you can rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  10. Select Save Lineup
  11. Select the X at the top right of the screen to exit, unless you are entering your opponents lineup

You can also start the game without entering the lineup ahead of time and enter it on the fly as the players come up to bat.

How do I enter fielding positions?
 
At this time, we do not have fielding positions other than the pitcher, you will tag players involved in outs by players name
 

Editing Your Team's  Starting Lineup - Advanced Scoring

  1. Login to your sidelineHD account 
  2. Select your Team Card
  3. On the Schedules tab of the team page, select the Game Card for the game you editing the lineup for, this bring you to the game page
  4. Select the Manage Tab
  5. Select Edit lineup
    1. If you just need to adjust the batting order, Using the dots on the left side of the player card, rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  6. To add or remove players from the lineup Press the < icon above the word Lineup
  7. Rebuild your lineup as necessary
  8. Select Next
  9. Using the 6 dots on the left side of the player card, you can rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  10. Select Save Lineup
  11. Select the X at the top right of the screen to exit, unless you need to edit the opponent's lineup

 


Setting Your Opponent's Starting Lineup- Advanced Scoring

Do I have to enter my opponent's lineup?
 
No, entering your opponent's lineup is optional!

 

  1. After entering your team's lineup while in the build lineup sheet 
  2. Select the Opponent Lineup Tab
  3. Add each opposing player to the lineup one player at a time
    1. Enter the player's jersey number and/or name. At least one is required.
    2. If you only enter the opponent's jersey number, the player's name will automatically be saved as the player number.
      • Note: Once an opposing player has been created, their name and jersey number cannot be edited.
  4. Repeat for each player on the opponents roster,  once you fill up the four spots
  5. Select  + Add player to add another row. - You can also do this ahead of time before you start entering the lineup
  6. If any players on the opponents team are not in the lineup but might be on the bench to start, you can add those players to the bench 
  7. After adding all the opponents players, select Next 
  8. Using the 6 dots on the left side of the player card, you can rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  9. Select Save lineup 
  10. Select the X at the top right of the screen to exit

You can also start the game without entering the lineup ahead of time and enter it on the fly as the players come up to bat.

SLHD Tip: Opponent's Lineup: 

Entering your opponents lineup is optional. If you do not enter the opponents lineup you will see a generic player


If you enter your opponents lineup, if your team is batted out you will be prompted to tag the fielder by name/number but you can choose to skip the player tag, scroll to the bottom and skip.  


Editing Your Opponent's Starting Lineup - Advanced Scoring

  1. Login to your sidelineHD account 
  2. Select your Team Card
  3. On the Schedules tab of the team page, select the Game Card for the game you editing the lineup for, this brings you to the game page
  4. Select the Manage Tab
  5. Select Edit lineup
    1. If you just need to adjust the batting order, Using the dots on the left side of the player card, rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  6. To add or remove players from the lineup Press the < icon above the word Lineup
  7. Rebuild your lineup as necessary: Unselect players to remove them from the lineup
  8. If you need to add new players
    1. Select + Add Player to Roster
    2. Add the player's information (First Name, Last Name, Jersey Number) and select Confirm
    3. Once created, Select them to add them to the lineup
  9. Select Next
  10. Using the 6 dots on the left side of the player card, you can rearrange the players into your desired order if they are not in the correct order. 
  11. Select Save Lineup

Note: You cannot edit the opponents players name or jersey number after they have been created at this time
