In this article, we will walk through the options of archiving or deleting your team, whether you have the option to archive or delete a team depends on some specific details.

When it comes to removing a team from your account, you have a few options depending on what you are trying to accomplish

Teams that have claimed players and have streamed/scored games can be archived.

Teams that have NO claimed players and have NO streamed/scored games can either be archived or deleted.

What does "archiving" a team do?

By archiving your team, all Coaches and Team Managers (including yourself) will lose administrative access to the team. All highlights will be preserved, as they will continue to live on the player and game pages.

What does "deleting" a team do?

Deleting your team is permanent and cannot be undone. All players, Coaches, and Team Managers lose access, and all associated content (clips, games, etc.) is permanently removed. The team will no longer be accessible or searchable and its URL will be freed for reuse. We strongly suggest only deleting teams that were "test" teams and do not have players associated with it.

Archiving or Deleting Teams

Login to your sidelineHD account
Select your Team Card
Select Settings in top right of the team page
Select Team Profile
Select Team Information
Scroll to the bottom of your team information page, and you will see an option
to either Archive or Delete your team, depending on the below qualifications.
1. Teams with no games or claimed players can be deleted.
2. Teams with games or claimed players can be archived.
You'll be asked to Confirm your decision to either archive or delete the team.

Can I Un-Archive a team?

Yes, teams can be unarchived. To do so, you will need to submit a ticket to our customer care team, please provide our team with the team URL to unarchive, and your email and phone number for your sidelineHD account. Please note it may take up to 2 days for your team to be un-archived.

I'm not with the team anymore, how do I remove myself?

If you leave a team and you no longer need access, another team manager can remove you as a staff member. This allows the team to continue on without you.
