In this article, we will walk you through the steps of removing a player from your roster. In most cases, it is better to deactivate a player than to delete one. Deactivated players will be hidden from team and public pages.
When it comes to removing a player from your teams' roster, you have a few options depending on whether the player is claimed or not.
Players who have been claimed can be deactivated from the roster by the Team Manager.
Players who are unclaimed can either be deactivated or deleted from the roster by the Team Manager.
Removing a Claimed Player
- Login to your sidelineHD Account
- Select your Team Card
- Select the Roster Tab
- Select the Pencil icon next to the claimed player's name you want to deactivate from the roster
- Select Deactivate this Player
- The player is now in your deactivated list
Removing an Unclaimed Player
- Login to your sidelineHD Account
- Select your Team Card
- Select the Roster Tab
- Select the Pencil icon next to the unclaimed player's name you want to remove from the roster
- Select Remove or deactivate this player

Remove Player confirmation box will appear. You have two options:
- Remove Player (Remove permanently deleted this player and all their clips- not recommended unless the player does not have any clips)
- Deactivate instead (Deactivate is the safest option)
- Select Remove to fully delete the player from your roster or Deactivate to deactivate the player.
Warning!
Deleting a player from your roster is permanent, deletes all clips for the player, and cannot be undone. It is much safer and recommended to just deactivate the player
