Stream and record simultaneously in the sidelineHD app (both iOS and Android). Recording is an ideal option to maintain a backup copy of your full stream in challenging bandwidth situations.
The record feature is a great option to have a backup copy of your full stream to watch later, you even have the option to record in 1080p!
Please note, this recording is a clean copy, as if it were recorded with the your devices camera, and does not have a scoreboard overlay.
Enabling the Record Option:
- Login to your sidelineHD Account
- Select your Avatar icon in the top right
- Select Device Settings
- You can also access your device settings during a stream by selecting the gear icon
- You will be dropped into your Streaming Settings, locate the Recording section
- Next to Enable Stream Recording and click the toggle so that it shows blue
- Select your desired settings for Format, Recording Resolution, and Storage
- As a note Storage Option controls where your recording is stored
- App Storage (saved to your device within the sidelineHD App)
- iCloud (saved directly to your iCloud storage - iOS only)
- Cloud (saved directly to your Google Drive - Android only)
- Photo Library (saved directly to your photos)

Managing Storage & Locating Recordings:
- You can access files stored locally or on your iCloud Drive under the Manage Recordings Storage
- Select App Storage or iCloud to access the recordings under each
- Once in the Manage recordings folder, you can select a recording and have 5 options.
- Move to photos (from app storage)
- Move to iCloud - iOS only (from app storage)
- Move to Cloud - Google Drive - Android only (from app storage)
- Share (via text, etc.)
- Play
- Delete
