Claiming Your Player (Player Manager)

There are three ways for you to claim a player. In this article, we will walk you through all 3 options. 

There are three ways for you to claim a player:  

  1. Claim your player invite link
  2. Directly from the team roster
  3. Invite from Team Manager by text message

Keep in mind, you can only claim your player if they have not been claimed. Once the player has been claimed, the original player manager must invite any additional Player Managers or the Team Manager can invite you by phone number. We only accept US and Canadian phone numbers at this time.


Claim Your Player Invite Link

With the Claim your Player Invite link, a Team Manager shares a unique Claim your Player Invite link (or QR Code). Parents/guardians can then use that link to instantly claim their player!

Once a player has been claimed, two additional parent/guardians can still claim this player! To do so, the first Player Manager will need to Add additional Player Managers, or they can be invited by the Team Manager.

  1. Open the link shared by your Team Manager
  2. Select Claim next to your player’s name
  3. Create an account or sign in to your account using one of the two options below:
    • Enter your US or Canadian phone number in the next window, and enter the verification text
    • Sign in using one of the Social Options: Google, Facebook, or Apple
  4. Complete the player profile.
  5. Select Save
    •  If you do not press Save, the claiming process will not be completed.
I don't see a claim option for my player?

If you don't see a claim option that the player is already claimed, you will need to be invited by the current Player Manager or the Team Manager by phone number invite.  Reach out to the Team Manager or current Player Manager to invite you to be a Player Manager by phone number.


Directly from the Team Roster

This can be done at any time as long as the player has not been claimed! You'll need a link to your team page. 

  1.  Navigate to the team's sidelineHD page using a web browser
  2. Select the Roster tab 
  3. Locate the player you want to claim, and select that Player Card
  4.  When you're on the player's page, you'll see a banner at the top that says: Is this you? Claim this player.  Select this banner
  5. Next, you will enter your US or Canadian phone number. You will then receive a verification link via text message to continue the process
  6. Click the link texted to you. The Team Manager will need to approve your request. 
  7. Once the Team Manager has approved your request, you will get another link texted to you to complete the setup
  8. Click the link that is texted to you.
  9. Create a sidelineHD account or sign in to your sidelineHD account using on the options below
    •  Enter your US or Canadian phone number in the next window, and enter the verification text.
    •  Sign in using one of the Social options: Google, Facebook, or Apple.
  10. Complete setting up the player profile
  11. Select Save 
    • If you do not press Save, you will not complete claiming your player!

 

I don't see a claim option for my player?

If you don't see a claim option that the player is already claimed, you will need to be invited by the current Player Manager or the Team Manager by phone number invite.  Reach out to the Team Manager or current Player Manager to invite you to be a Player Manager by phone number.


Invite from Team Manager by Phone Number

The Team Manager invites you to manage the player by entering your phone number under the player's information. 

  1. Click the link that is texted to you.
  2. Create a sidelineHD account or sign in to your sidelineHD account using one of the two options below
    •  Enter your US or Canadian phone number in the next window, and enter the verification text.
    •  Sign in using one of the Social options: Google, Facebook, or Apple.
  3. Complete setting up the player profile
  4. Select Save 
    • If you do not press Save, you will not complete claiming your player!

SLHD TIP

If the player has already been claimed, and you are being added as an additional Player Manager, the player will be added to your account after clicking the link and signing in to accept the invite, no player profile setup necessary.
