There are several ways to claim a player on SidelineHD. This guide walks through the fastest method first, followed by alternative options that require some additional steps involved.
If you are a Player Manager, looking to claim your player(s), please check out our Claiming Your Player (Player Manager) article. If you are a Team Manager, continue below.
Once a player has been claimed, two additional parent/guardians can still claim this player! To do so, the first Player Manager will need to Add additional Player Managers, or they can be invited by the Team Manager.
As a Team Manager, you have two methods to invite your team's parents to claim their players!
Parents also have the option to claim their player directly from the team roster. In this instance, you will need to approve the claim request. To learn how to do this follow the steps under Approve Claim Request in this article.
Claim Your Player Invite Link
The Claim your Player Invite Link is the quickest and easiest way to help your parents claim their players! Just share a Claim your Player Invite link with your team parents once your team is set up! This is the quickest and easiest way for your team's parents to claim their players!
With the Claim your Player Invite link, a Team Manager shares a unique Claim your Player Invite link (or QR Code). Parents/guardians can then use that link to instantly claim their player! Continue below to learn how:
- Go to the Roster tab
- Select Invite Player Managers at the top of the roster
- Share the link:
- Select the full box that has the link to copy it.
- Select the ↗ Share icon to copy or share the link out using your devices native share sheet
- Screenshot the QR code
- Send the link or QR code to your team's parents in your team chat.
That’s it! Parents can claim immediately. (This link should only be sent to parents, as there is no approval process by the Team Manager required.)
SLHD TIP
⚠️ Please note, there is no approval process with this method. So only share the link with trusted team parents/guardians.
Invitation by Phone Number
Team Managers can directly invite parents to manage a player — even if the player is already claimed.
We only accept US and Canadian phone numbers at this time, we do not accept international phone numbers.
- Login to your sidelineHD account
- Go to your Team Page
- Select the ✏️ Pencil Icon next to the player's name
- If the player is not claimed:
- Enter up to 3 phone numbers
- Select Save
- If the player is claimed, you will see who currently claimed the player by their email
- Select Invite More
- Enter the phone numbers to invite
- Select Send Invite
- Enter up to 3 phone numbers
- Select Save
- If the player is not claimed:
The invited users will receive a text message that they must click and follow through with additional steps to accept the invitation and claim their player.
Players can have up to 3 Player Managers. If the limit has been reached, you will not see the invite more button.
Approve Claim Request
When a parent/guardian requests to claim their player from the team page, the Team Manager(s) must approve or deny the request before the parent can continue.
All Team Managers receive the request and can accept it. Once accepted by any one of the Team Managers, the claim request banner is no longer visible on the team page.
When a parent/guardian requests to claim a player from the team roster page:
- You (All Team Managers) will receive a text message
- Click the link
- You'll be taken to your team page, where at the top, you'll see the number of pending claim requests
- Select View Request at the top of the team page
- Choose:
- ✔️ Approve
- ❌ Deny
- Select Done
The parent/guardian will receive one final text message to complete setup. They must click the link and follow the instructions to complete the player profile.
This does not complete the player claim process. The parent will receive one final text message to activate the player and set up the player profile. They will need to click on the link in that text to finish the process! After that, they should be all set!

SLHD TIP: Unlock 1080p
Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball teams can unlock 1080p streaming when they meet a minimum number of claimed players on their roster or if they have a Pro for Teams subscription. This is per team setting and must be enabled for each team separately.
Claim Requirements: Baseball & Softball: 9 claimed players
Volleyball: 6 claimed players
Previously, 1080p streaming was only available as part of the Pro for Teams subscription. Now 1080p can be unlocked with baseball, softball, and volleyballs if they meet a minimum threshold of claimed players. Once 1080p is enabled, any stream for that team that you send to SidelineHD in 1080p will be published in 1080p as well. If you stream at a lower resolution, such as 720p, the output will remain 720p

If 1080p is enabled, you will not see the unlock 1080p button
Streaming Behavior:
Once 1080p is enabled for a team:
- Streams sent in 1080p for will be published in 1080p.
- Streams sent in lower resolutions (e.g., 720p or lower) will be 720p.
Unlock 1080p:
- Login to your sidelineHD Account
- Select your Team Card
- At the top of your team page, you will see an Unlock 1080p button
- Select Unlock 1080p
- If you have reached the amount of required claimed players:
- Select Enable 1080p
- You will now see "You can now stream at 1080p, select 1080p in your camera setting and your stream goes out to your fans in full HD.
- Repeat the above steps for each team you have
- If you do not have the required amount of claimed players:
- You will see "Reach X claimed players to unlock 1080p, You're at X of X claimed players
- Invite Player Managers, invite player managers to claim their players, once you have reached the amount of claimed players required, return back and enable 1080p
- If you have reached the amount of required claimed players:
- Once 1080p is enabled, the button is removed from your team page. If your team has a Pro for Teams subscription, you already have 1080p enabled for that team and will not see the Unlock 1080p button
