Streaming to Facebook

SidelineHD adds overlays and sends your livestreams directly to Facebook for your team community.

I don’t have a Facebook Page, how do I create one?

1. Log in to Facebook.
2. On the left side, click Pages
3. Below Your Pages and profiles, click Create new Page
4. Enter the Page name and Category
5. Click Create Page

You can customize your page if you'd like by adding your Bio, a profile picture, and a cover photo! 

Keep in mind that Facebook has a minimum of 60-day waiting period before you can link a page for livestreaming. If you need to livestream sooner, we suggest streaming to YouTube. 

I have a Facebook Page, now what? ENABLE LIVESTREAMING!

1. Sign into the sidelineHD website or using the sidelineHD App and go to your team's page
2. Go to Settings -> Stream Settings -> Stream Publishing
3. Under Livestreaming destinations, select the Link Facebook button
4. Follow the prompts provided
   1. If you are prompted to log into Facebook, login
   2. If you are automatically signed in to an incorrect account, go to facebook.com on the same browser, and log out of your account. When you select "Link Facebook" again, this time you should be prompted to log in.
5. You will then see options to choose where you want to stream, select the Profile or Page of your choice, and then select Save.
6. You're all set!

Troubleshoots:

If your Facebook page is greyed our or missing, it may be because you are not a page admin.  See this article to check your admin status.
