Advanced Streamer ~ Mevo SRT Support

Using SRT is another method to send your stream to sidelineHD and receive the same features of stream UP/DOWN messages, publishing to Facebook/YouTube and clips. SRT protocol allows you to use HEVC (H.265) video compression, which sends the same quality video in 1/2 the bandwidth. This can provide a more reliable data transmission in certain situations.

It is important to note that SRT is an early feature in the Mevo app. It may be harder to use than Mevo's RTMP features as there is no connection status information and no support for one-click configuration.

Streaming to OBS is an advanced, experimental feature. Moving forward, we assume that you: 

1. Have a Mevo Start Camera
2. Have the Mevo Single-cam App
3. Have an account on sidelineHD and have successfully published a sidelineHD game to Facebook or YouTube via RTMP

Configuring your Mevo App for SRT:

Find your Stream ID

To start, you will need to create your Stream ID. Your Stream ID is made up of shd03/ and your stream key. You will need to find your stream key to move forward with configuring your Mevo App. 

1. Login to your sidelineHD account
2. Select the Team Card you are streaming for
3. Select Settings
4. Select Stream Settings
5. Select Camera Settings
6. Select your Advanced Camera
   1. If you don't have one listed, learn to create one in our Streaming with an Unlisted Camera article 
7. Click the three dots next to your camera selection
8. Select Advanced Settings
9. Here you'll find your stream key
10. Add your stream key to the end of shd03/ to create you Stream ID
    • Ex. 
      • Stream Key: s03-wwww-xxxx-yyyy-zzzz
      • Stream ID: shd03/s03-wwww-xxxx-yyyy-zzzz

Set your SRT Settings

1. Enter your Mevo single cam-app
2. Click on settings (gear icon)
3. Select on SRT Settings
4. Input the following settings:

Starting your SRT Stream

1. Go back to your Mevo Settings by selecting <SRT Settings in the upper left 
2. Next to SRT Mode, select the switch so that is showing green
   • To stop the stream, select the switch again so that it shows grey
