Scoring a Sacrifice Fly/Bunt

The ball gets put in play, a runner scores; it's an exciting moment in the game! But don't let the scoring get lost in the excitement. Scoring Sacrifice Flies and Sacrifice Bunts is quick and easy using Advanced Scoring and we're here to walk you through it! 

Scoring a Sacrifice Fly

Keep in mind, to score a sac fly, a runner must be on a base with less than two outs

1. Select the Ball in Play
2. Select the Sacrifice Fly at the top of the screen under Out
3. Tap where the ball was hit (if enabled)
4. Select the type of ball Fly ball
5. Select Continue
6. Select the Defensive Players involved from the list to tag for credit 
7. Select Finish Play
8. Select the option of what you see on the bases ( i.e Bases Empty or Other)
9. If what you see on the bases does not match, select other and follow that flow.
10. Confirm what you see under What happened on this play? Example below
    • +1 run + 1 out Sacrifice Fly  (batter hits a sacrifice fly, runner scores)
11. Select Finish Play

Scoring a Sacrifice Bunt

Keep in mind, to score a sacrifice bunt, a runner must be on a base with less than two outs

1. Select the Ball in Play
2. Select the Sacrifice Bunt at the top of the screen under Out
3. Tap where the ball was hit (if enabled)
4. Select the type of ball Ground ball
5. Select Continue
6. Select the Defensive Players involved from the list to tag for credit 
7. Select Finish Play
8. Select the option of what you see on the bases ( i.e Runner on 3rd, Bases Empty)
9. If what you see on the bases does not match, select Other and follow that flow.
10. Confirm what you see under What happened on this play? Examples below
    • +1 run + 1 out Sacrifice Bunt  (batter hits a sacrifice bunt, runner scores)
    • +1 out Sacrifice Bunt ( batter hits a sacrifice bunt, runner advances to next base)
11. Select Finish Play
